Grand Reserve 2018


This Malbec comes from our own vineyard surrounding the winery.
Altitude: 1050m or 3214 ft.
Age of vines: 68 years


Hand harvested between last week of March and first week of April, keeping a correct ripen between tannins and sugar.
Stemming machine is used to obtain whole grains and keep the fruit and avoid oxidation process. The alcoholic fermentation takes 10 days, we carefully control the temperature, doing several pumps over and delestages according the daily analysis and tasting of wines, to enhance this characteristics and complexity.
We use French oak barrels for 14 months to aging all the volume to enhance the characteristics of the varietal after we keep the wine in bottles for a year to reach the appropriate aging of this superb product.


To the sight: intense deep ruby plum color with black hues. On the nose: it is complex, spice, plums whit aromas of figs, leather cassis and black pepper. appear a soft tobacco and vanilla smell as secondary aromas.
On the palate: it is fresh, sweet, and creamy with a touch of dry fruit
and along finish. Superb tannins standout giving a great velvet body.
